Enrollment 101: BucMail

All admitted CSU students receive a CSU BucMail email account, which includes email, OneDrive, Messenger/Skype, and online and installable versions of Office 365. Once you are attending classes, faculty and staff will use your BucMail address to notify you of important information. Financial Aid updates, changes, and reminders are sent to your BucMail address, so it is important you check your BucMail account frequently.
    Accessing BucMail
➡️ New students can find their BucMail address on their
    Application Status Page.
➡️ Access your BucMail account at https://www.outlook.com/csustudent.net (or by logging into MyCSU and clicking on the BucMail link on the left if you have already obtained your MyCSU log-in credentials). This will take you to the Windows Office 365 sign-in page. Your BucMail address is your Windows Live ID when logging into your email account.
    Your default password
➡️ Use the first two letters of your last name (first letter is capitalized) and your 6-digit student ID number.
➡️ For example, if your name is
John Smith and your CSU student ID number is 123456, your default password is Sm123456.
➡️ Note: if your ID number is less than 6 digits, please include leading zeroes (#1234 becomes 001234, etc.).
➡️ We recommend you change your password the first time you log into your BucMail account!

🆘 If you have any problems with your new BucMail account, check out this video tutorial or contact CSU’s online Tech Support.
